Perayaan Natal di seluruh dunia: Tidak semua tersenyum

Ya seperti biasa, salah satu kegiatan penutup hari yang paling saya sukai adalah, browsing di Internet. Dan karena sekarang malam Natal, tentunya tema yang saya ingin tahu adalah, bagaimana keceriaan perayaan Natal diseluruh dunia.

Terhenti sejenak

Photo-photo di atas tentunya sangat menarik dan berbicara banyak tentang situasi yang menggembirakan. Senyum dan pengharapan terekam secara detail dalam setiap gambar.

Tapi “klik mouse” saya terhenti pada photo berikut yang menggambarkan dua orang pelayat, berjalan melewati boneka manusia salju setelah melayat korban tragedi penembakan di Sandy Hook Elementary School Connecticut, 11 hari sebelum Natal hari ini.

Di antara cerita ceriah semua ini, ada 20 anak sekolah dasar yang tidak hadir. Ada orang tua yang (mungkin) tidak dapat tersenyum di hari ini.

Buat saya, Tidak hanya Natal, tapi untuk semua perayaan, untuk semua Agama dan dimanapun itu, harusnya jadi sukacita buat semua orang. Ya, semua orang.

Kekerasan, peperangan, ego, sifat megalomania sudah seharusnya berhenti dari sekarang. Semua orang berhak merdeka, semua orang berhak tersenyum.

Dan seperti photo di atas, saling merangkul (tanpa memikirkan perbedaan) adalah cara yang paling dan paling ampuh buat kita semua untuk bisa melewati masalah sulit.
